Abide Brooklyn Pita

Delicious, fresh, and great-tasting. I was looking for a really healthy, gluten and dairy free meal and they had lots of veggie options. My salads were simple and fresh. The falafel was REALLY great- fried lightly, and not in gross old oil which you get used to in NYC from lousy carts. There's a red cabbage salad that they used as a garnish that I could have eaten a whole bowl of. My lamb plate (no rice, which they noticed in the notes--great!) was scrumptious. I could taste the fresh parley in the lamb, with just a hint of char-broiling. Plus, service was fast and polite. A wonderful choice for a healthy, delicious meal if you're serving people with food allergies or on an elimination diet/cleanse. I will definitely order again.

Delicious. Food came right on time. The mixed cold appetizers (small) had an amazing variety of things in it, and all were great. It was like discovering a new gem every time I tried a different offering. I believe I got all three eggplant salads, a stuffed grape leaf, hummus, tabuli, haydari -- all deliciously seasoned, and all different. The person who delivered was also friendly. Really, if you haven't tried them and you like Turkish food, I recommend them.

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the special falafel , the chicken lamp mix kebob and the service was great and fast !! I loved this place...

So good! and really patient delivery. My phone has been acting up and the driver waited to get in the building a few times instead of bailing and leaving me without the food. I really appreciate it!

The best Middle Eastern food, and exactly I am expecting. However, the delivery is ALWAYS late, and really there are no efforts to improve the service. Overall, Abide is a pro!

I ordered from here for the first time and the owner called me to say he couldn't grill my tilapia because he'd purchased skinless tilapia by mistake and it would stick to the grill. He asked if I'd agree to fried. I told him I'd prefer grilled -- and mindful of how impossible it is to get a partial refund from seamless i.e. the fiasco with Russo's I've noted -- I asked if he could wrap it in aluminum foil and grill it. He agreed and it was the most delicious and delicately prepared fish I've received on seamless. A little lemon and oil and it was very moist. The rice pudding was authentic and very good. The salads large and fresh. The stuffed grape leaves had a good spicey mix. And I received piece of bread that could cover a manhole. Hopefully the owner will maintain the quality of this restaurant and not go the way of so many restaurants with promise that compromise their standards and don't notice the deertion of customers until its too late. Anyway, order while its great.

This dude will certainly Abide - great food, delivered reasonably quickly. Their meats are excellent, especially the adana kebeabs, as are the salads. Very thick, smokey babaganough is a highlight. Abide is a big step above most middle eastern restaurants in the area, and pays careful attention to most details of the meal.
The only negatives are that they don't special requests (requests for extra sauce are ignored), and that you won't get the promised "free baklava with orders over $20". At least we never got it in our few orders, both on our account and with friends. But I shouldn't be eating sweets anyway. The positives far outweigh the few lapses.

Food was delicious!! Both happy and upset I found this place... I have a feeling my intake of baklava is about to increase 10 fold Saw the falafel wrap and thought - no way I can eat all of that ... Drizzled in my extra white sauce it suddenly disappeared and I was licking my fingers... Zucchini pancakes were a tiny bit on the oily side - but I give them a pass cause they were still yum... Plus - I've never had zucchini pancakes that weren't oily ... So perhaps that is just how they are (?) Overall - a very pleasant surprise. Now I need my bed in a very real way

Fast delivery - and the food was well beyond my expectations, especially coming from a family which mostly makes its own Levantine food. The shish kebabs are perfectly cooked with flavorful rice (good portion even for the small size), and the baba ghanouj was gently smoky and tasted just like home made. Tabouleh very fresh. Even the rice pudding was thick and creamy, just outstanding. I had to put the pita in my toaster on light to heat it up again (my fault) but everything was fantastic and I will definitely order frequently as long as the food is like this.

So the typical fare you'd expect to be good here is... my most recent order I tried the lamb sandwich rather than the usual gyro or wrap... it was solid.

I would also share that when I ordered here the first time, I see the zucchini pancakes as a favorite item and I'm like hmm... what's to be expected here? But I ordered them and I had no idea zucchini pancakes could be so got damn delicious!!

In conclusion, The Dude always abides... and so does Abide BK Pita.
